Republic Class Aeronef Frigates, R.A.S. Republic & R.A.S. Falange (1895)

At first glance the Republic and her sister ship the Falange seem to be crammed to the gills with guns. Your second glance would confirm this. Nearly all available space is jam-packed with locally produced smaller caliber quick firing guns, rather than larger more expensive European or American ordnance. The Falange and Republic are products of the Russian/ Sonoran R-Matter for engineering agreement sealed in 1892. Astute students of Aeronaval design and construction will note similarities to the Russian Archangelsk Aeronef Cruiser (miniature souvenir replicas of which can be purchased at: http://www.brigade-models.co.uk).
